Somewhere quiet

Wakaranai Lodgewakaranai

we passed!!

Back

about damn time.

visiting Ito-san at the Iris Garden nursery in Shimukappu

we passed. With a sigh of relief. It was funny, each fire inspection that happened, from the first advisory one where they told us what we needed to fix with the lodge in order to pass, each successive time they came they looked at new things they told us to fix, and we were kinda in a cycle of like what exactly do they want. But here we are, we got it, they are happy, the boxes are checked, and we legal in the eyes of the fire department.

Just like last time they were here, I feel drained this time too.

Thankfully we had Ryota here to translate and help us out this time, he smoothed it all, and everyone is happy. This was one of the final admin steps we had to complete before our visa renewal process could start, so lezz go.

After this, we went and picked up Akira, then headed to shimukappu on a quest to find the Iris man. We had heard about a man with a garden and small nursury, so we went looking. It took us a couple stops, asking along the way, and finially we pulled into a small gravel parking lot outside of town, and an old guy came over to greet us. We then proceeded to get walked around, looking at all the plants, and trees, and rocks, and getting told the stories. It turns out, Ito-san, actually was one of the builders of the lodge we know live in, when it was built back in the 80s. Its a small world. We bought a few plants, with plans to go back in the month because that is when all the chocho (butterflies) are swarming the spot. It still feels like early spring in this neck of the woods, and things are just starting to come alive.

After that we headed back home, I cooked up a wakaranai indian curry, n then we went in on lamps. Akira made another masterpiece. he is the sensei for sure.

Tomorrow we will crush out some work on the shikkui, and the sink, and see where we are at.

have a great day n wakaranai.
