Yeah so not all super g today. With the sink project, I decided to scrape off my shaping layer. I made that layer too lime rich, and it just wasn't adhering well to the layer below. Some places seemed passable, but I didn't want to build on top of it, and have a catastrophic failure later on. I ended up scraping, then making a lime slurry, that i painted the baselayer with, then I made a new mix for my shaping layer, with a much higher sand content. It is all looking good now, and we will see tomorrow if it is still looking good.
Just a minor set back, and to be expected since this is my first time really working with these materials in this sort of way.
We did some work on the outside of the house too, patching some potential leak points, and we will have a lot more of that work in the future too. The joys of a 50 plus year old building. It isn't all peaches and sunshine, but she has good bones.
The rest of the day was a computer/admin day again. Frustrating as I am trying to figure out how to build an application we are working on, and all of our best thoughts and attempts aren't able to solve the core issue, but tomorrow will bring a new day and hopefully fresh thoughts on how to tackle it.
have a great day n wakaranai.
