Somewhere quiet

Wakaranai Lodgewakaranai

sink shaping is a go

Back

not without difficulty though

caulking prep on the brick exterior with ladder and sealant

And today it didn't Rain. Agetatsu again showed up earlyish, and we got to work crushing out the caulking. While he started working on that, I started sanding the posts out front. They are covered in old peeling paint, and we want to paint each post a different color, maybe kind of a tinted wood stain. We aren't totally sure yet, but thats kinda the thought so far.

Ryota showed up after a bit as well. It is super nice that we have homies coming over to spend time with us, help us out, chilll, eat good food. It is just sweet to be somewhere, where, while we aren't Japanese, and don't necessarily follow the standard japanese way of living, we have still created a space that is comfortable and welcoming, in so little time. It makes for good vibes and good times.

Denise was a bit sick today, which put a bit of a damper on things, but in a lot of ways, it felt like the end of a long week, for all of us, so the vibes were good, but the energy was a bit lower.

After lunch, we started the shaping coats on the sink finially, but honestly, it was way more difficult than I expected it to be. The coating kept cracking, even with our best attempts to keep it covered after application, and with really keeping the layer under neath damp before we applied it. So we will see tomorrow if our work was for naught, and if we need to change tactics with our shaping layer. I really hope we don't have to scrape all our work off, but shoganai.

Anyways...

have a great day n wakaranai.
