A day to sleep in a little. Recover a bit after a few late nights, and more days in a row of skiing than I thought I would be having.
Have the crew here the last days, really, they came at the right time. It was just such a good reminder to stay true to our story. I spent a couple hours this morning, working on the website, and moving things to a place where they aligned exactly with our thoughts, and really stepped out of playing the same game as everyone else, to playing our own game, and moving in our own direction.
We then spent several hours, working on running the plumbing for our new sink project in the sink room, and getting rigid foam insulation under the floor joists. Those are the parts that are kind of annoying, and take where my time than you wish they would, but before you get to the fun parts, you have to do those parts of it.
I spent another several hours this evening, reviewing a list of subsidy applications, to see what was out there, that might be good for our project here. Fortunately there are tons of cool ones, that we could receive funding through, and now it is just putting together applications, and see what hits. We really want to build out a sauna here, but it has just been prohibitively expensive with where we are now financially, but it would be a big win for our outside space, and what we can offer to the people coming through. We are also starting to look for ones, that can help us with the wood boiler system, so we can switch off of kerosene, and into something a bit more carbon neutral, or at least, locally available. With the conflict in Iran, it really shows how fragile the world's oil and gas supply chain is, so finding ones to reduce your exposure to that risk, is a major plus.
All in all, today was a day, and now I am tired, like most days at this time. One foot in front of the next, one project after another. We out here.
Have a great day and wakaranai.
