Genuinely and incredible time with incredible people. Like I talked about in the last log a bit. Being here with people that are creative, and thinking about stories, has been the most valuable thing that could have happened to us at this point in time. It was a good reminder to keep pushing our story forward, writing it, sharing it, shaping it. It is a story that matters, and a fight that matters.
It made me think about what makes what we are doing unique, and special. We aren't trying to just be like everyone else, and do the same thing as everyone else. We aren't a retreat space, we offer analog weeks. We aren't digital offsites, we are doing the Wakaranai Labs. This is a place for people that dont know, and dont pretend to. Where people can drop that pretense and just be themself.
Today has been that day of reflection. Today, I didn't physically work on the lodge, but I sat and I wrote all day. And put my thoughts in to place, after the crew left, and I really thought about the why, in a clear headspace like I haven't done in a long while. This was definitely the first real time since being here in Hokkaido.
And there was no issue not thinking for a while either, because I had to focus on putting one foot infront of the next and getting things into the right place, to get myself to apoint where now I could think, and could open our home to these people, and share these moments, meals, and conversations, that have impacted us so deeply.
