another sleeper day, with noon fresh, and the homies come thru

Homies in da house day

Another day another dollar. Or in this case, another pow turn. This day, instead of bluebird blower pow, it was cold, windy blower pow. It fucking delivered again. I don't know how many times people said winter was over, but it isn't over yet.

We got out late today, because we had homies coming over in the evening, and the lodge was in minor (major) chaos. Between all the construction reno projects, and just stuff we have bought and just general chaos, we had a bit of work this morning getting things buttoned up enough for the homies to come thru. We got out at noon tho, and to our not so suprised suprise, it was knee deep, and windy off the top, and when we dropped in, we didn't cross a single track all of the way down to the traverse. Unbelievable, but not suprising.

I am just so incredibly thankful to be a place like this. We are the corner that the world seems to have forgotten about. A place where I can take a deep breath, and not feel rushed doing so.

I also got some little time after skiing, to work on making a nice vinyl display rack, for sitting on my desk, to display the vinyl cover of the vinyl that is in the record player at the time, pretty hype on the little touches, making the space feel more me.

Our homies came thru later. They are a crew of filmers coming from London, we had met them through our friend Brad, a week or so back, and had a sick day with them then in Asahidake. They came thru tonight, to spend a couple days with us here at Wakaranai Lodge, and ski tomamu with us. Super good vibes, and so hype to have more homies through, before things are all buttoned up on this season.

It was nice just to chat about skiing, and the skis, and the culture, and just think about what is important in life, and the life we are choosing.

Idk, life is sick. I wake up happy every day, and I am just thankful.

Its 1 am now, we out here.

Have a great day and wakaranai.
